Pierce Pocket

Pierce Pocket

Pierce Pocket has a way of quietly weaving himself into every part of Tricia’s daily life. Some of her favorite moments with him are the simplest ones when it’s time for bed and he curls up at her feet under the covers, perfectly content and exactly where he believes he belongs.

Then there are the moments that make her stop and laugh. Pierce is convinced he’s part cat. He confidently scratches the cat scratcher alongside his three cat brothers and sister (two of whom came from Rincón), and he plays chase, tackles, and wrestles with them like they’re truly his bros. Watching him interact with the cats feels like watching a little family of mismatched siblings who somehow understand each other perfectly.

Tricia adores his lanky, quirky body always ready for the next big adventure. That is, until a jacket comes out. The moment any sort of protective gear is placed on him, Pierce freezes or dramatically plays dead, fully committed to the performance and never failing to make her laugh.

Living in New Hampshire means cold temperatures are part of daily life, and Pierce has made his feelings about winter very clear. Most walks end with Tricia carrying him for at least half the way, something she’s come to accept as part of being his furever mom.

Christmas brought even more joy than expected. Watching Pierce with his Christmas stuffies was like watching a child on Christmas morning pure excitement, curiosity, and happiness in every squeak and toss.

Pierce Pocket isn’t just a dog. To Tricia, he’s comfort at the end of the day, laughter when it’s needed most, and a constant reminder of how special rescue dogs truly are. Every quirky habit, every snuggle, and every carried walk has made him an irreplaceable part of her family and she wouldn’t have it any other way. 🐶❤️
